Gripsters from brands from Israel
9 models from 1 brands from Israel, prices from €72 to €500.
Israel is represented in the database by a single brand: GRABO. All nine listings are electric vacuum lifters, often called gripsters in the trades, with an oval suction plate. With a median price of €266, Israel is the most expensive origin in the comparison.
Brand and models
With nine listings, GRABO covers a wide price range. The cheapest is a cordless vacuum gripper with automatic re-pumping for €72. Above it sit the Grabo H with 170 kg for €226, an electric model with pressure gauge for €235 and several cordless vacuum lifters with digital display between €188 and €500, including three Pro versions. A variant for pavers and sheet metal costs €426.
Prices and load capacity
Prices range from €72 to €500, with a median of €266 and an average of €286. By median, a GRABO gripster therefore costs around four times as much as a unit from Chinese brands (€66). Seven of the nine listings are priced above €200, see also Over €200. Only the Grabo H states a load capacity: 170 kg. That equals 75 kg of load capacity per €100 of purchase price.
Features
All nine models are electric and oval. Six units have a removable battery, and none lists USB-C charging. Two thirds of the models have an automatic re-pump that restarts the pump as soon as the vacuum drops. Five models show the vacuum on a digital display, two on a pressure gauge.
The seal is rubber on six models and foam on three. A foam seal adapts better to rough and textured surfaces, while a rubber seal is durable on smooth tiles and easy to clean. The differences are explained in Rubber vs. foam. GRABO does not offer a vibration function.
Even with an automatic re-pump, the rule still applies: check the indicator before every lift and carry large formats with two people. More advice is in Working safely with vacuum grippers.
Where the units are made
All nine listings state China as the country of manufacture. GRABO is therefore the clearest example of brand origin and country of manufacture diverging. The price gap to Chinese brands cannot be explained by the place of production. China vs. Israel and Israel vs. Germany show how large it is.
