Vacuum grippers with automatic re-pump

With automatic re-pump, the vacuum gripper continuously measures the vacuum and starts the pump on its own as soon as it drops below a threshold. The database lists 134 models with this function, which is 28% of battery vacuum lifters. Prices per unit range from €20 to €500, with €73 being typical. Typical load capacity is 260 kg, with a peak of 500 kg; per €100 you typically get 304 kg. 81% have a digital display, 37% a built-in battery, 30% a removable battery and 13% USB-C. Typical battery capacity is 2,400 mAh. 57% are oval and 34% round.

What to look for

• Porous and rough surfaces: On natural stone, wood-based panels or lightly textured tiles, a little air seeps in. This is where the automatic feature really pays off.
• Checking is still a must: The automatic feature compensates for small losses, but it does not replace keeping an eye on the display. Tips in the guide Working safely with vacuum lifters.
• Battery consumption: Frequent re-pumping uses energy. A full battery before heavy lifts is a must.
• Understand the technology: How the sensor, pump and check valve work together in this gripster is explained in How does an electric vacuum gripper work?.
