Vacuum lifters with a removable battery

A removable battery can be swapped in seconds, so the vacuum lifter stays ready for use while the second battery charges. The database lists 194 models with a removable battery. Their prices per unit range from €17 to €500, with €69 being typical. Typical load capacity is 220 kg, with a peak of 500 kg; per €100 you typically get 368 kg of load capacity, more than across all gripsters (333 kg). Only 3% charge directly via USB-C; charging is almost always done in an external charger. 60% have a digital display, 13% an LED indicator, 21% automatic re-pump and 9% a vibration function. Typical capacity per battery is 2,400 mAh. 16% of the listings are twin packs, and 40% carry a brand name.

What to look for

• Check what is included: Pay attention to whether the battery and charger are included. Units designed for existing 18-volt power tool batteries are sometimes sold without a battery.
• A second battery: For full working days, a spare battery is worth it. The difference is shown in One battery vs. two batteries.
• Read capacity correctly: mAh figures are only comparable at the same voltage. Background in the guide Battery and charging.
• Weight: A large battery makes the gripster heavier, which you will notice during overhead work.
• Entry-level prices: The cheapest models are listed in Cheapest with removable battery.
