Gripsters in twin packs

A twin pack contains two or more identical vacuum lifters, ideal for slabs carried by two people. The database lists 52 packs and sets. All prices are given per unit, that is, divided by the number of gripsters in the pack: they range from €12 to €81, with €44 being typical, much less than across all listings (€68). Typical load capacity is 272 kg, with a peak of 300 kg. Per €100 you typically get 682 kg, roughly twice as much as across all vacuum grippers (333 kg). 81% of the packs are electric; of these, 74% have a removable battery and 36% automatic re-pump. 67% have a digital display, 73% are round, and all use a rubber seal.

What to look for

• Large formats with two units: Two gripsters spread the load and keep thin slabs from flexing. More in Laying large-format tiles with vacuum lifters.
• Count the batteries: Check whether each unit comes with its own battery and whether a shared charger is enough.
• Compare with buying singly: Whether the pack really is cheaper is shown in Single vs. twin pack.
• Matching units: Identical gripsters used as a pair behave the same way and can be attached and released in sync.
