Vacuum lifters with digital display

A digital display shows the vacuum level as a number and usually the battery level as well. With 338 models, it is the most common type of display in the database. Prices per unit range from €17 to €500; at €67, the typical value is even slightly below that of all vacuum grippers (€68): in this data, a display carries no price premium. Typical load capacity is 250 kg, with a peak of 500 kg; per €100 you typically get 342 kg. Of these models, 38% have a built-in battery, 34% a removable battery and 15% USB-C. 32% offer automatic re-pump. 63% are oval and 32% round, and 88% have a rubber seal.

What to look for

• Readability: A large, high-contrast display stays readable outdoors and at an angle.
• Know the thresholds: Note the value at which the manual says the vacuum holds securely, and only lift once it is reached.
• Warning function: An audible alarm when the vacuum drops below the threshold is a useful addition to the display.
• Compare display types: The differences from an LED indicator are shown in Digital display vs. LED, the entry-level prices in Cheapest with display. The basics of lifting safely with a gripster are covered in Working safely with gripsters.
