What to look for

• Match the workpiece: These vacuum lifters are designed for small tiles, glass, baseboards and installation work, not for heavy slabs.
• Mind the safety factor: In everyday use, a 100 kg gripster should carry considerably less. How to do the math is explained in Assessing load capacity realistically.
• Choose the shape: Rectangular models fit narrow parts, see Round vs. narrow.
• More reserve: For tiles of 60 cm and up, take a look at the 100 to 200 kg class.
