Vacuum grippers with 200 to 300 kg capacity

With a rated load capacity of more than 200 and up to 300 kg, the database lists 195 vacuum lifters, making this the largest load capacity class. The typical rating is 300 kg, with ratings spanning 220 to 300 kg. Prices per unit range from €12 to €349, with €57 being typical, less than in the 100 to 200 kg class (€70). Per €100 you typically get 492 kg of load capacity. 67% of the models are oval and 31% round. 92% are electric; among the battery-powered units, 44% have a removable battery, 36% a built-in battery and 29% automatic re-pump. 75% have a digital display and 95% a rubber seal, and 21% of the listings are twin packs.

What to look for

• Big number, same physics: A rated load capacity of 300 kg is a figure achieved under ideal conditions. For everyday use, allow at least a factor of 2 as a reserve, as Assessing load capacity realistically shows.
• Large slabs: For large formats, these vacuum lifters, also known as gripsters, are the usual choice, often used in pairs. You will find tips in the guide Laying large-format tiles.
• Features make the difference: Since the load capacity ratings are so similar, the display, battery and automatic re-pump are what set the models apart.
• Top performers: The highest ratings are listed in Highest load capacity.
