Overview
Triple suction cup lifter with lever for tiles and glass: a mechanical vacuum lifter with several suction pads. It costs around €13. No brand name is given; the tool comes from Chinese series production.
Drive and operation
The suction pad is pressed on with a lever, with no pump or battery at all. That is robust, but the holding force depends heavily on a smooth surface.
Seal and applications
The sealing lip is rubber. On smooth surfaces such as glass, polished tiles and stone it seals very tightly and lasts a long time; on rough or textured surfaces it is at a disadvantage. According to the data sheet it is suitable for tiles and glass.
Strengths
- Low price for its design
- Durable rubber seal
- Simple, robust and free of wear parts
Weaknesses
- Only safe on very smooth surfaces
